Laugh More: Use Humor to Decrease Stress and Stay Sane - November 21, 2020
With author, speaker, and humor engineer, Drew Tarvin
Amidst the social distancing, face masks, and never-ending string of Zoom calls, it can be hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Many people and organizations are realizing that staying productive, engaged, and sane while managing the stress of the “new normal” is not easy.
But there’s a way to put our emotions to work through something they don’t teach you in business school: Humor. When you assess, analyze, and act on the situations around you through positivity and play, you can enjoy yourself, avoid chronic stress, and work stops feeling like so much work (even when working from home, or your child’s playroom).
In this class, you’ll learn the mindset required to use humor, the tenets of humor that anyone (yes, even Bob in accounting) can learn, and leave with the ability to find fun at work and home.
In this class you will:
- Follow a step-by-step process to adding humor to your life
- Build the #1 tool for capturing the humor around you
- Practice the skills needed to effectively deliver humor
- Learn tips & tricks for avoiding inappropriate humor
