The training takes about 35 hours plus 5 hours for your final certification requirements. It’s designed as a blend of self-paced lessons from Simon and four live practice sessions where you’ll work directly with our Master Trainers.
The learning happens primarily in the coursework, so it is important to complete all assignments in order to gain full knowledge of the methodology and support your cohort.
Not at all. While many of our participants are coaches, trainers, or HR professionals, the only real requirement is curiosity and a genuine desire to help others find their purpose. We’ll teach you the complete WHY Discovery process from the ground up.
A reliable internet connection, availability for all of the four live classes, and the commitment to complete the online learning and practice with your cohort. We provide all the tools and resources you’ll need. All 2025 classes are conducted in English for English-speaking participants.
You’ll complete and record your own WHY Discovery session and pass a written exam to demonstrate your mastery of the methodology. Once you’ve successfully completed both, you’ll officially become a Certified WHY Coach.
You become part of our global network of Certified WHY Coaches and continue your journey with ongoing learning opportunities, practice groups, community support, and a listing in our online coaches directory (launching soon).
Currently, the certification covers one-on-one WHY Discoveries. We’re developing a group facilitation course that we plan to launch in early 2026.
For 2025, the program is available in English only. We’re excited to expand to additional languages in 2026.
